Welcome
to Marv’s monthly for May. As I mentioned last month book three is currently
with AM and hopefully, I’ll get their feedback this month. Having mulled over
what the title should be, I’ve settled on ‘Redemption’. This continues the title themes
from books one and two: Settlement,
Payback, and now Redemption,
and without giving too much away it completes the storylines for a couple of
the characters and there may be redemption for some of them along the way!
I’ve
also drafted the first three chapters for Book 4 of the Justin Kell series.
When I was sketching out the story, I really wanted to take one of the plot
lines into a different area, and with the help of my researchers I’ve got what
will hopefully be something slightly different but equally enthralling for Kell
to get his teeth stuck into.
In the
last month I’ve read two books, Red
Notice, by Bill Browder and Not Yet Dark by one
of my favourite authors Peter Robinson. Red Notice is the true story of how
Bill Browder sets up an investment fund in Russia and the fraud, bribery and
corruption he faces along the way. It reads like a classic thriller! Not Yet
Dark is the 27th book in the DCI Alan Banks series and is one of
his best.
